I got one of them once that told me it was deleting the entire hard drive. I had to watch in horror as all the bios and other setup files where deleted.

Once everything was deleted a message came saying "only joking but this is how easy it is to get a virus........."

I nearly had a hernia watching it

Can anybody please help me? I'm having terrible problems controlling my streetmagic- I can't walk down a street without turning into a pub.

Sophie wrote:Yesterday someone sent me a very long email telling me if I sent it on to all the people they mentioned id get so many years of good luck. If I deleted it though Id get bad luck. For each email sent was a year of good luck.
I sent it to trash, not something Id usually do and now I feel really ill. Have anyothers got similar emails and if so what do you think of them.

Thanks.
Sophie.

 This has got to be a joke right?

Sophie, I mean this in the nicest possible way but if you don't have a reasonable handle on the way people lie and manipulate each other, perhaps magic isn't the best hobby for you...! :)

write down on a bit of paper the following:

"Because someone i will never meet has emailed me, and threatened me with bad things, it will of course, happen to me..."

re-read it to yourself and think about it...

if you honestly do believe that an email can cause you to fall ill, or have bad luck (whatever luck actually is), then...well...send me all your money and i'll stop it...

and i hope that you never visit a dodgy tarot reader for your own mental and financial well being...

why would you even begin to think that anything like that can happen?

 I never went to a tarot reader. As for the email, When I was sick that was the only thing on my mind.
If you put yourself in my shoes maybe you might feel differently...I mean I may worry too much but im quite a sensitive soul. Im not 6 feet tall weigh 20 stone and as tough as...nails.

So you were in a state where such things took on very great significance - that's exactly what those junk/chain/bad luck e-mails wish for so you don't need to feel singled out. The eejits who generate and send them are sad losers who don't care how much grief they cause so on that basis don't waste any more time on them, just delete them as fast as you can and move on to something more enjoyable :D .

I find things like Intermezzo from Cavalleria Rusticana very soothing. Sad but restful  .

That's the music, I usually go for http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=esGTdqfV ... re=related with the scenes from the Franco Zefirelli film. Very dramatic stuff. After that there's another great one featuring the Easter Hymn from the same opera but this time in concert. Check out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iVE5J9V8vSA and marvel at her singing, as one comment pointed out she doesn't come back to earth for several seconds afterwards :D !
