Ooooh... There's a miniature printing press inside the chair seat, right?

"Packs big, plays small" -- yeah, I like that. I also momentarily misread "Spectator sits on the card".

"Magic teaches us how to lie without guilt." --Eugene Burger
"Hi, Robbie!" "May your mischief be spread." --Derren Brown

All Smart Ass packages have been sent to Murphy's Magic and Hocus Pocus and will arrive there early next week. Morrissey Magic and The Browser's Den of Magic here in Toronto both have them in stock as of yesterday.

When you receive the package here is how to access the scripts from the DVD disc...

If you pop the DVD disc into your computer and double-click on the disc icon SMART_ASS_DVD which should appear on your desktop after you insert the disc, there will be three folders that come up. One is marked AUDIO_TS, another labelled VIDEO_TS and the third is marked Smart Instruction 2 DVD-ROM Contents. Double-click on the one marked Smart Instruction 2 DVD-ROM Contents and there will be folder marked SCRIPTS. Double click on this folder and there will be four PDF files containing the four scripts: BUYER’S REMORSE, INTUITION, THE PRINCESS AND THE PEA and finally THINKING ON YOUR FEET.

Sincerely,
Bill Abbott

Smart Ass Replacement Packs

Postby Bill Abbott » Sep 1st, '08, 20:48

Greetings,

Thanks for all the great feedback for Smart Ass. A lot of performers that I admire and appreciate have been adding it to their working repertoire with great results.

Finally after many requests the Smart Ass Replacements Packs have arrived at Murphy's Magic Supplies and are available internationally to any and all magic dealers. Smart Ass replacement packs will have two decks (same back color; red or blue, each with a different force card) along with the corresponding two jumbo revelation cards. The values of the force cards can be clearly seen on the outside of the clear package so you can make an informed purchase. So to sum up; the replacement package consists of 2 Smart Ass Decks and 2 Jumbo Card Revelations, retail price of $60 (U.S. Dollars).

FYI I have been very careful with the deck I have been using for the past two years and I have not had to replace it. I do realize that we all don't work in "perfect" environments and the shelf life of the deck may vary from performer to performer.

Let me know if you have any questions, or ideas you would like to share about Smart Ass.

Sincerely,

Bill Abbott

Very vulgar title. Quite disgraceful if I may say so.

Then change it. You wouldn't want people to think that Canadians were like the vulgar lower class British would you?

Well I have been using the Smart Ass deck almost weekly and have had no problems with it (I have a close up routine I have called Dumb Ass for those times when the stage version won't suit)

This is an official invitation to the owners of Smart Ass to join in a collaboration effort/contest to collect the best routines, techniques and approaches using the Smart Ass deck. I have already had at least half a dozen performers contact me directly with their original plots, handlings and scripts using the deck and have been motivated to put together a book of these ideas together.

Basically, the best of these ideas will make it into the book (I'm the judge!) with the winners getting full credit for their ideas in the book, a free copy of the book AND a smart ass replacement pack.

I'm hoping to put everything together at the end of October. BTW there is no "minimum" or "maximum" on the submissions. I've already been given some fantastic solutions to "minor" things that will be included along with other complete scripts, so please submit and submit often!

Please forward your submission, with contact info to billabbott@sympatico.ca

Looking forward to your ideas!

Sincerely,

Bill Abbott

that trick looks great. I'm gonna have to make my own one now. Sorry I can't buy it but I'm skint again. However when I have some money I'll buy one and then see if I made it the right way.
