What's the story behind your avatar?

This thread was prompted by a recent post in the Luna thread. My avatar shows Harrison Ford in Blade Runner (the bestest film ever), tucking into a bowl of noodles; it's not a photo of me, in case anyone was wondering! 8)

Mine's the Sproutlorelogo, in honour of the inestimably brilliant Robert Rankin - The drinking man's H.G Wells.

Plain and simple. If you don't LOVE Family Guy, and it's odd evil monkey character, you are not a REAL person.

Got bought a new camera for my birthday last year, was playing around with it and managed to capture a nice pic of a one handed shuffle. Didn't want to let it go to waste.

Someone took a photo of me while I was in deep thought - quite liked it so I put it on by business cards too.

Mine was the only one I could find that would fit. I possess none of these arcane 'resizing' abilities and anyone that does is probably a witch or summat.
