Dragon Illusion

Postby Jjtee » Jun 12th, '08, 15:30

As some of you know I have somewhat of a penchant for illusions. Anywho this is my latest find (and make). Easy to print one off and make it yourself, and the results are brilliant.

On a side note, the illusion is from "grandillusions" website. One helluva good website at that, cool stuff galore.

I've seen that before, some of the boys in the office had them on their desks. They're quite spooky when you walk past and about 6 dragons' heads all turn to follow you.

I came across this a while back and made one. I was amazed at the illusions so i did some research. It is called a "Hollow Face Ilusion" If you google it you will find a lot more interesting information. Someone even made a bust of Einstein with this concept. Really cool

My cousin sent me a copy of this a while ago - I promptly assembled it and it's been sat on top of the fridge ever since.

It still gives me the giggles when I walk past it  .

QUESTION:
If we can sue McDonalds for making us fat and cigarette companies for giving us cancer; why can't we sue Smirnoff for all the ugly gits we've sh*gged ??

I printed and assembled my green dragon (I've named him Puff) yesterday and spent all afternoon with one eye closed, doing a weird but strangely compelling dance in front of him, while he followed my every move with a knowing smile on his face. I stopped after I started to feel sea sick.

Where did you get the file? Grand illusions did not seem to have a link and the ThinkFun site came up blank.

Cheers

Just Google for "Dragon Illusion" - a couple of sites come up with the PDF file for download.

I think Puff is feeling lonely. I'm going to get me a blue and red dragon to keep him company.

Me and my missus named ours "Doobie" - I dunno why but I think that "Doobie the Dragon" has a certain ring to it  .
