I attended last years comp and it was a delightful mix of magic, comedy and varying levels of technical skill and audience management.
Apparently i was too old to enter; not that I would've won mind!
The pub's nice. If anyone's around Hull i'd reccommend the evening.

This is at the art gallery, but the sailmakers pub where the circle usually meets is a really nice pub, part of a good circuit of old pubs.

It was a good afternoon of entertainment. The young performers were enjoyable. Jack Gleadow won the cup with a ring to box routine. Very much enjoyed David Hoyes ACR. Michael Jordan did a great job as the guest magician and his unicycling and knife throwing added a nice bit of excitement towards the end.
