I have never ever even attempted to learn any effects with rope, but it's videos like this that make me want to start.

Brilliant stuff.

I do some rope stuff, but I would love to learn a routine like that. Does mark Wilsons Complete Course have a section on rope magic?

The Tabary routine is available on DVD to learn but beware, it's one of the hardest rope routines to learn for a variety of reasons.

It's reviewed here

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!

Mark wilsons book does have some rope stuff yes... I particularly like his indian rope trick, I'm an astute observer most if the times but I never even contemplated this particular method. Very clever due to the close!!

I believe I have a rather good prof. nightmare.

Barton: Have you read the Bible, Pete?
Pete: Holy Bible?
Barton: Yeah.
Pete: Yeah, I think so. Anyway, I've heard about it.

I think that routine is too long.

Check out Whit Haydn's Mongolian Pop Knot.
Very entertaining! Great presentation!
Hard to beat.

Wow... just wow!

Does anyone know what the TV show is called?
I was searching for a TV show about magic that is neither Blane nor Angel nor "the masked magician" but simply good performances of good magicians but I couldn't find any. However, this looks like one. Does anyone know where it is on?

I think it is entertaining enough for that length of time. But then again, I have seen very little rope magic before and am easily pleased.

nothing will ever top the great pierre erdenac, who created miracles with a single length or rope, by basicaly starting at one end of abbots book, and finishing at the other.

if you never saw him, you missed out on one of the true greats.

the cardini of rope magic.

I think it's world's greatest magic/magicians or something similiar. They were on a lot in the 90s in the U.S. I've got a bunch of old ones on VHS I'll make digital one of these days...

Actually, what you see on the above video clip is an edited version of the routine that's taught on the DVD and I would agree with you.

I have an even shorter routine using some of the Tabary oves but I actually perform it in reverse order so I start my routine whith the move that Tabary ends his with.
