OOTW using the Gilbreath Principle

This effect is published in Harry Lorayne's close up card magic. I have no idea if it uses the Gilbreath Principle as I'm not familiar with this term. I can say that out of this universe is a superb self working trick that involves multiple genuine riffle shuffles that still leave the cards in a specific arrangement - I still can't get my head around how it works; I think I'm as impressed as the spectators when it does!
