Maybe because when it was a new thing and they didn't really know what to expect or what should happen, they were very open to being socially manipulated. Now that they know what you're going to do, they're bored, and aren't so keen on pretending to go along with it all...![]()
Thought I'd introduce some healthy scepticism to this praise festAlthough I'm quite excited, because by the sound of it, you're all going to demonstrating your abilities to make yourself invisible or hypnotise people with a handshake at the various meet-ups, and I would quite like to see some of this stuff in action.

I think Farlsborough has a point. Like with any magic, you shouldn't go around performing it all the time because people will get bored!

I hypnotised my wife and told her she'd feel really horny when she woke up (come on...don't tell me you ain't thought about it).
All went well - However, when I told her (the next day) she was a little upset (ok, you might say I shouldn't have told her).
I also had a colleague who was a little upset when I told him his feet were stuck to the floor. Aftewards he said that he felt a little "out of control" and that it was uncomfortable for him. I didn't know that he had a mild phobia about having his legs stuck, it got me thinking. How do you know when you're being ethical or unethical? It isn't as easier a question as you may think!
