Over break, I had no chance to practice, so I've gotten rusty. Can't get more than locked eyes right now...

Oh well, I'll work towards getting back to where I was

Well done Harry. Very bold to do that with just a single volunteer so kudos to you. Loved the everything in your pocket belongs to me too. Much funnier to see him handing over item after item.

I encourage you to really get their attention when you do your Set Piece. The more that do it the better.

You did great. There are not many people who can do a 7 minute hypno show in a stand up slot.

Well i haven't posted on here in a while but thought i would add an update and of course further recommend this brilliant book.

Over Christmas I successfully hypnotised my Aunt, It didn't work with other members of my family previously as they were always on edge once they saw me read the book that i was going to suddenly handshake induce them into giving me all their money.....No trust :)

Anyway i knew my Aunt would be a good bet as she strongly believes in a lot of what some may call Pseudo Science (Crystals, Auras etc etc) So when she came up for christmas i dropped hints about the fact i now knew how to hypnotise people, i played up to the fact that she believed in auras and told her the story of the magnetic fluid and Mesmer, i did magnetic fingers as a convincer (Strengthening the old magnet analogy) and after she said had done that successfully i went straight into a handshake induction, she was fully "under" within about a minute.

I decided to go for the Jugular and suggested that she thought her son (My cousin) was invisible of course when she couldn't see her son and then things started floating around (Including her 10 year old daughter) she started looking a bit worried so i put her back under and planted the idea that after she woke up she would only have happy memories of the hypnotism and that whenever her son clicked his fingers he would suddenly become invisible again.

He had great fun with this and even more so when i didn't remove the post hypnotic effect (Its still working now) Making my self invisible was great but giving someone else a superpower was even better (It wasn't me that the remainder of the family were laughing at dancing around pretending to be invisible) Anyone with more experience could you give an estimate as to how long this Post hypnotic suggestion will last?

Anyway i hope my experiences will further convince people still unsure of the validity of Anthonys claims.

Buy it! Buy it Now!

Harry, I just watched your video and I thought it was great! Keep up the good work. I think I'm going to try that "you don't know who I am" routine on my twin brother, Lawrence, for my first induction, and I think I'll even try Anthony Jacquin's "invisibility" routine as well. I might as well start at the deep end.

Or do you think I should try something requiring less suggestion? IMHO I think I just need to practise (in front of the mirror :D ) and then do it!

Start small with the simple stuff. Don't try to far because if a big suggestion fails it is much worse than a small suggestion succeeding!!! Once they are convinced try bigger stuff.

Anthony, thanks for the great comments. Out of interest, if you had 7 minutes what would you do?

On Wednesday I have to do a five minute "Class Talk" in an English lesson, and it has to be about something important to me, and has to "interest" the audience (my classmates). I was thinking that I could maybe do Hypnotism, but 1) I don't know how to present that as a "talk" per sai(<-- spellt right?), and 2) I don't have the balls to just hypnotise my teacher and say "When I touch you on the shoulder, I want you to open your eyes as if waking from a wonderful night's sleep. You will reflect on the great 5 minute speech you have just heard and think it was absolutely wonderful." *Touch shoulder*
I don't really know what to do because I hate doing class talks and usually get very nervous before-hand, even though I know it'll go alright. For some reason I just get embarassed when I go up to the front. So, my thinking was, that if I plucked up enough courage I could try this, that it would work :D , or would she (my teacher) just freak out and SCREAM because I'm trying to hypnotise her. I don't know if a newbie like me is up to it, especially as I STILL haven't tried anything on my brother... YET.
But time is running out! I've only got tommorrow to practice before Wednesday morning!
Well, that's it  .

Thanks,
Fabian.

I'd say read the quotation in your signiture ;)

Then I would say dont do a public performance without ever practicing first! So I'd say stay away from a demonstration...but by all means talk about your interests in it!

Love

Go for it. Talk about it 90 seconds of history, 90 seconds of theory and the set piece exercises. Leave them hanging.

The butterflies are already swirling around in my stomach. :(
You think I should do the set pieces on the whole CLASS! I better own this... I really don't want to lose it in the middle of it. Guess I'll finish some HW tonight, practice on Lawrence tomorrow, then just do the set-pieces in class on Wednesday morning. :!:
Easier said than done, but as Anthony says, I guess I should just go for it. It probably won't be that bad, considering I'm not going to actually make anyone do anything other than Set-Pieces, but I think I'll definately steer away from hynotising my teacher  .
Ty for the hint, Beardy LOL.

Fabian.

EDIT: I am THE HYPNOTIST! hehehe I love saying that.
