Loss to the family.

Postby Lenoir » Nov 27th, '08, 20:41

Just found out that the son of a Family friend was killed in Afghanistan in the last few days.

I don't know the details yet and obviously I won't name anybody as the family have asked for a "period of grace."

It's the first time I've cried for a long time. He was a good friend and always a laugh.

It'll be the second friend I've lost to the war. My other friend Tom was shot dead by a 15 year old 2 years ago.

That's awful, Lenoir. Too many young people are being sent off to die, and for what? It's really horrible. :(
