Perhaps the greatest tragedy is that when people ask me if I want a pint, I'll no longer be able to ask: "Does Carol Vorderman do sums for money?"

She could still very well do sums for money, just a bit less money...

Yeah, you're right... less than one hundred grand! Can you imagine that... she'd have to start re-using tea bags.

Ha, I jest: if something was bringing in £1 million a year for me, and that got cut down to a measly £90,000, I'd probably knock it on the head too. It's not as if she's blown her fortune on drugs.

I always knew no one does maths just for the fun of it

I'd do it for £90K and I'll even buy and use my own calculator

I've never watched the programme - did I miss anything good, apart from Geoff Durham's magical interludes?

Of course you missed out. A massive part of British tea time culture flown by you. No more moments like this. I wonder if youtube has her educational maths videos for kids on as well.

Accident clams? are these just uncoordinated clams who are down on their luck? or malevolent molluscs that lurk in the shadows using their shells to knock you off your bike, push high shelved items onto you and tie your shoelaces together? :)
