Age range varies from teens (and younger) to old codgers, lay people to top flight professionals, great folks to irritating eejits and so on. Blackpool is usually cold and windy and is mainly closed in terms of the Summer type of activities although again this year there's a festival of magic and non-magic events during the preceding days leading up to the Convention, the city centre is open and there are plenty of shops (no Woolworths any more unfortunately) and a number of eating houses in the main street. Basic problem is lack of time to see and do all on offer at the Convention, some events clash with others so decisions have to be made about what you're not going to see or do. Beware the Dealer fair - hundreds of the devils just lurking ready to entice you to spend, spend, spend. I usually find that once the After Gala Show Party is under way, I've had enough of magic to last a lifetime but after a couple of days that feeling passes!
