My missus looks to the heavens and shakes her head in despair
I get exactly the same when there's a magic programme on TV. Luckily I can always fight back with the list of soaps she enjoys: Coronation Street, Emmerdale etc - and they're on 98 times week, or so it seems!

That is soooooo true, can we be far away from a coronation street channel.
sigh.

I haven't seen this magic show being talked about as I rarely have the tv on these days, adverts arrrrrgggghhhh, soaps, arrrrrrrgggghhhh.
But it does sound like I should try and catch it, I say we need to hold Tony Blair Witch hostage until they agree to rerun Paul Daniels.

Just a thought...

Het guys this is Joe Piper from 'Max magic' the guy with the spikey hair who played the matrix guy etc. Thanks for all the great comments, I am glad you all liked the show. While not perfect we did the best we could on a the time and budget we had. The viewing figures have been up nearly every episode, so we might get a second series.

Joe

thank you for being a member of the forum Joe

Hi Joe,

Am I correct in thinking that your TV break came when you did some work for a station called GAME IN TV?

No that would be Max you are thinking of, he did Game-in TV. Funnily enough I have never seen any of Max's Game-in TV stuff.

Hi
About the game in tv stuff.. that channel is odd.. it was scheduled for max's show at 2.00pm today but instead it was some weird spining wheel thing and some cheesy voice! (ps. the channel is 283 on sky digital see it for yourself!) :?

game-in tv has gone funny - i got dog racing once instead of max somerset!!

heres anew one theigh - try channel 274 -l!ve tv. 10am, 1.30pm, 5pm and 9pm (i think). The program is called mind games and stars Marc Pual. He has three people and perfoms feats of mentalism on them. its is quite good!!

Well folks, I have to admit I'm enjoying the Max shows tremendously - even some of the daft stuff I didn't really like at the start. If there's any way the powers that be can be encouraged to air this series on mainstream TV it would be a good thing - Max and Co deserve a wider audience.

Yeah, there should be ot more of this on mainstream TV. I dont have sky and only found out about this in the pub, when my mate was asking me about it. Seen a few episodes which my mates been recording and "I like" still got a few more comming now. Hey Joe, any thoughts on doing tricks on politicians, like switching John Prescots breifcase for one containing a self inflating blow up doll? Now that would be good to see in he houses of parlament. He he he.

And another thing, over excited parents. I was visiting some relatives and my mam said:
"Go on then do that trick where you slap the cards from their hands and their left with the one they picked"

Well what can you say after that!! "bless her"

Max Magic is exactly what every magic show should have:
People with a good style (or a made up one - it doesn't matter, they're both as good), innovative and unseen-on-TV tricks that even some magicians haven't seen. And the best thing is that even if you know how the trick is done, all the unique personalities of the magicains make it interesting to watch -
Well done Joe Piper - Great show, keep up the matrix stuff - my family always watches the matrix bits, even when they're not watching the rest of the program.
The only thing I don't get is the small magician/ big rabbit clips. They're not really funny and they don't have any magic in them.

Doing trick for family and friends get to be just as boring as it is to your family and friends. When you start working gigs for strangers it gets much more exciting.

All the best,
