Well, shot gun is a type of way to drink beer. (I have random facts in my head) Where a hole is poked in the side of the can and sprayed into the man's mouth.

(This can all go into innuendo if you want to)

..

Barton: Have you read the Bible, Pete?
Pete: Holy Bible?
Barton: Yeah.
Pete: Yeah, I think so. Anyway, I've heard about it.

He wanted a glass of water because he had the hiccups.
Pulling the shotgun on him gave him a start which cured his hiccups. He was thanking him for curing his hiccups.

You wont find much better anywhere and it's nothing - a rigmarole with a few bits of paper and lots of spiel. That is Mentalism

I have only one riddle to post:

A man came home to find his wife cooking. At 4pm he went for a nap until 7pm. They went to bed at 10pm. In the morning he killed his wife.

Explain

This requires some lateral thought and a bit of addition of reason.
But if I wrote down the additional bit it would become obvious.

By the way, the solution to Farlsborough's was "Beware/Be where"
"Be where this camel spits" "But I was [where that camel spat]"

Is he cooking his wife? Inside of the stove or the heaters on or the gas is on and he lit a spark... That's all that came to mind.

Pete: Yeah, I think so. Anyway, I've heard about it.

I'm going to go for something like... he usually works at a different time, he comes home, she's cooking a slap up meal or perhaps a romantic meal for two, clearly not for him. So he kills her.

But that doesn't sound quite good enough...

I think that's right farlsborough... He finds his wife cooking and he sees that she is cooking for another man, he hides somewhere and falls asleep. At 10 he sees them going to bed together to sleep :P not him but her lover... Than he sneaks out before he can kill him so he kills her. Still your explanation farlsborough i just made it more believable.

You were closer last time Ian. But Farlsy did well with appreciating that the sentences aren't meant to be read exactly as written

Oh he killed her in the morning, it didn't say when in the morning or what day so I think it was the morning he left for work. When he got home he took a nap till she was done and than ate her at seven and went to bed with her at ten (stomach)...oh that's disgusting...

Since I started this I will take his turn  (aren't I insolent?)

It cannot be seen, cannot be felt,
Cannot be heard, cannot be smelt.
It lies behind stars and under hills,
And empty holes it fills.
It comes first and follows after,
Ends life, kills laughter.
