Heh, Bacon number, hadn't seen that one before.

It's "3" I think:
Me -- David Suchet -- Oliver Platt -- Kevin Bacon

That's the best one I've found...

Your reality, sir, is lies and balderdash, and I'm delighted to say that I have no grasp of it whatsoever.

I can't do the "Bacon" thing but I was nearly in The Beatles!

I used to play guitar in a band called "Dr Rock". The drummer used to play with Denny Laine. Who was in Wings. With Paul McCartney. Who was in The Beatles. So, pretty much, I'm the sixth Beatles! 8)

I used to go and see Denny Laine and his original group The Diplomats - that was, erm, a long time ago.....

(Drawing of a cartoon dog on the bass drum, bit of loose tape on it which flapped in time to the music as though the dog was wiggling an ear...)

My dad was in a skiffle band with Joe Cocker. The band was called The Planets who of course sank into obscurity. Joe Cocker however went on to great things.

When I say 'worked' what I actually mean is he got me on stage, borrowed a tenner and ripped it in half, eventually gave me the bits back and then did his trademark Electric Chairs routine with yours truly and another guy :D !

Does being American and having had lunch with the man (at Peter Pit's apartment no less) count?

 I don't even think I can remember the number of celebrities (not just magicians) I've met and worked with over the past four decades  (:? oooo... that sounds weird, I really don't see myself as being all that old)... there's a handful of us on this board that have more than a few miles, callouses and physically painful memories of traveling about and working with the select few

I have nothing to show on my Bacon index, but I have a one degree separation to Keanu Reeves. He's my friends beer buddy when he's in town.

Never met him personally though, but I also got introduced to the band members of The Offspring and Eskimo Joe through her.

Ah, and another one ;) I was once thrown out of the Royal Botanic Garden in Sydney (while leaning against a tree and reading for an exam) because they had to prepare exactly this particular spot in the park for a scene in Mission Impossible 2. Watching the movie later, I realized that in the end scene of the movie Tom Cruise stood right next to the tree where I was leaning on two hours before...

... so one could say that I have a one degree separation to Tom Cruise: Me - Tree - Tom Cruise.

Will I be invited to the next Oscar awards now? ;)
