Would you?

Postby IAIN » Feb 2nd, '09, 18:03

Here's one for all you atheists out there...

would you sell me your soul for a nominal fee please?

i am willing to paypal any of you who wish to send me a small sheet of paper with the following on it:

"I hereby hand over my soul to you, Iain Dunford."

then your signature and your name printed in capitals...

i will paypal you fifty pence for your non-existent soul, or happily donate it to a charity of your chosing.

Any takers?

I'm actually going to be collecting souls from the kids at the playground where I work, in a performance I've been asked to do (as they can't gambol money). They're hardly innocent souls but I'll give you any I don't end up using.

So far I have to soul of my kid cousin, two amateur musicians and a stranger from the pub.

Interested?

Your exchange rates are a bit out, Iain - if I were taking you up (and I think you know I'm not  ) I'd be wanting 70p, or for the Yanks to get 70 cents...

Nah, that's deviating from the terms and conditions :)

Can i barter?

I want at least £1 for mine. It's barely been used although it didn't come with compassion or empathy...Basic model you see.

Also due to me denying the holy spirit in both thought and speech thus ensuring my banishment from heaven (the only unforgivable sin) I dont think there is much point me having said soul anyway.

If there is a sale please note it wont be given to charity, social darwinism and all that.

Most of my souls are children's souls I'm sure they're more valuable (you raise the price and I'll throw in the drunk for free)

And the musicians might be famous one day (although I didn't get a receipt and don't remember they're names, lets just say it was the kaiser chiefs).

As an atheist I don't believe in such a thing as a soul so how do I go about giving you something which does not exist?
