Well if things have gone downhill at NUMS they've done so fast, because I ordered 5 one-way force decks from there 3 or so months ago and even specified the force card in each case - they showed up within a few days to my exact specifications. My experience of the site has been very positive...

I've ordered a few things from NUMS in the past and always found the service to be brilliant.

Following up my previous post, in the interest of fairness:-

I have had NIL communication / replies to my various emails through the site and direct.

I had to start dispute process with paypal, no response.

Bought the gaff deck from Prudhoe Magic, with another item, came next morning.

Deck has arrived from NUMS, out of the blue with no notification.

So ..... I HAVE got what I ordered, but out of time and when I didn't need it anymore. Most awful communication process (non-existent) I have had on an e-commerce site to date.

I had a very similar experience with MEV Pro Shop last year. Everyone goes on about how good they are (whether it be MEV or NUMS), but that doesn't mean a great deal to the person who has been sitting patiently, waiting for an order to arrive and receiving zero communication from the dealer. So, yes, I know how you feel.

Darnit, I wish I saw this earlier on. I too ordered two decks about a month ago, and from then nothing was heard..

I placed an order at NUMS a while back and had nothing but problems including lack of communication and rude emails from them. After a very dismissive and aggresive final email, they said they'd issue a refund and send out the correct order. Neither of those came through.
I was kind of hoping that they might have had a stand at Blackpool this year so that I could have a word in person about what I found to be their appaling service but, probably best for everybody, they didn't.

Ahhhh there was a thread already.

I'm still waiting on my items to magically appear in the post.

I should either get a refund from paypal I think or kiss the money good bye and as it doesn't appear anything will be arriving from these guys.

in the past I've never had a problem but right now? Never again will I order from them

As a generalisation on magic dealers, particularly those trading online I think that you have to remember that they are magic traders to supplement and income that's gained from work elsewhere.

It's mainly for this reason why I always trade with a dedicated magic dealer for the majority of my purchases, particularly those which are important. At least I can phone and discuss before placing an order.

As for NUMS and Seige - I've brought from Seige in the past and have nothing but good things to say about the experience. Hopefully this is a one off and I sincerely hope that there isn't an underlying problem that is restricting his trading such as ill health etc.

It would be nice to hear that he's at least well.

he appears fresh and well, i've seen him comment on people's threads that i am "friends" with...

i dont think anyone should kiss their money goodbye though...you've paid for something, you're entitled to the goods or a refund...simple as...

if not, then...well...there's other courses of action to take...
