Another thing I noticed, if Bicycle cards were printed with toxic ink then Blackpool would have, in the space of three days, turned into a ghost town! I walked into the Ruskin when the aftershow event had finished early Monday morning and cards were everywhere - on tables, on the floor, in the toilets, on the bar etc.

and at some point people were trying to throw cards into my drink, with success; and i refused to let this stop me drinking my drink!

Sunday night / Monday morning was my first time in the Ruskin and if I had the chance to do things again then I'd have been there every night. It was such a nice atmosphere and to have the likes of Eugene Burger and Jeff McBride sitting a few tables away from you happily chatting and relaxing with people until gone 4am along with lots of other nice covention atendees was wonderful. I'm not going to deny that stopping up so late before a 4 hour journey home on Monday morning made me a grumpy little **** for my other half but ho hum!
