What outrages me most of all is the media. Jade was obviously scheduled into their diary to die last week. When she didn't die on cue, they just carried on regardless and printed the memorial issue. Absolutely no morals whatsoever. And when she does die, they'll print another tribute issue. Her illness and impending death has turned into a real gravy train. It reflects badly on us all I'm afraid - this is the society we made.

Jade's whole income has come from playing the media game. Given her situation, it's only reasonable that she should use that industry for all it's worth to ensure that her kids are financially secure. Anyone in that position would do the same.

Paul's absolutely right though - the press have been desperate for her to die, to the point of pretending she already has. And now that she has, they'll recycle all last week's columns and give their writers a paid holiday...

Well, she's dead now, so perhaps we can all talk about something more interesting.

That might sound harsh, but compare it to comments in this thread.

I am sad she has gone, bless her.

BTW
The back cover of the magazine is an advert for a perfume called "Ghost".

Even her funeral is going to be televised.

That's a bit too far me thinks. :?

Given the context, I'd say not at all.

Jade Goody is the natural progression of Big Brother.

She went into a goldfish bowl all those years ago and never left. If Channel 4 could have got away with showing every second of a person's suffering, anguish and ultimate death from cancer, they definitely would.

She was special because she was famous, not vice versa. She was a media product, so expect the media to get all it can from her, alive or dead.

Husband Jack has been very quiet since her death. Doubtless he has signed a deal with OK and can't be seen or heard in public until his exclusive is printed later this week.

Watch out for a host of "Jade: A Life" style TV programmes this week too.

And so it goes on.

you know, i really objected to max clifford reffering to her as a "star across the globe" on the radio this morning.

Its a shame she died in this way, its a deep loss to those who knew her, and no doubt liked her. but a global star?

18 months ago, she was a national disgrace, and an embarasment to the country... now shes on a par with judy Garland, Liz Taylor, audrey Hepburn, etc.

you're like Yoda.you dont say much, but what you do say is worth listening to....

Anything that Max Clifford says or does won't be motivated by morals or sensibility. I would like to bet that he's made a mint out of this media circus!

The odds on that bet wouldn't be worth the trip to a bookie's...

Hes' a living example of someone that makes a living out of other people's misery. Where there's sleeze there's Clifford!

Wouldn't it have been good for Ali Bongo to have received this amount of publicity for the joy and goodness that he brought to so many lives?
