Back on topic, I'm actually glad that Patrick Jane bears little or no resemblance to a mentalist as we know the word.

In fact the show is pretty much a slick American Cracker for the most part.

My point, though, is that you'll never see Patrick Jane asking a suspect to write whether or not they killed the man on the back of a business card and slip it into his wallet where he obviously can't see it.

And he won't have an ID in his back pocket for an emergency 'out'.

So as long as the public think Patrick Jane is an accurate representation of mentalism, all heat will be off our devices and nicknacks for quite some time. :)

As it is, I still talk to audience members who give me long and detailed assessments about how I read their body language. Programmes like The Mentalist will keep them securely on that train of thought. :)

Rather disappointing. Sub-CSI plotlines, poorly written characters, clunky attempts at humour.

The worst thing is, we'll probably end up watching the whole series anyway because there's never anything on Thursday nights.

It was great - the ending credits were gripping!

You could go for a midnight bike ride? Go and see a play? Host a dinner party...? :D

I'm rather looking forward to the start of the In Betweeners, and you can't go wrong with The Big Bang Theory

But yes, it was rather rubbish wasn't it?

I can't ride a bike (no balance).
No plays around here.
No friends to invite to a dinner party.

So it's TV (while working), computer games, or nothing.

No radio, then?

I sometimes listen to BBC7 when alone. Col's deaf, so it's not fair to him to have the radio on instead of the TV when he's around.

There's always reading, of course. And I really should be doing more writing.
