Hello My name is Justen I am an amateur street magician specialising in card magic.....I als dabble in stage magic (main focus of my practice right now).

I am joining this forum in ah ope to get some tips to help with my stage anxiety I supose you could say my general butterflies when performing which cause me to drop card when practicing.

Also I would like to find a magic guild in my local area.

But most of all I would like to meet and talk to loads of magicians from all walks of life.

Come to think of it I signed up a about a year ago when I first started out with magic but I spent so much time practicing that I totally forgot abotu my account.....I have no idea what my username was

Hiya Justen, welcome to TM.

I think that nerves are natural to a point, I'm terrible before either going out on stage or approaching my first spectators in a close up situation. More than once, I've made myself sick because of nerves before a gig but once I get out there things just seem to slot into place. It'll be the same for you, the more experience you get, the easier you'll find coping with the nerves.

Hi Justen, Where in Essex do you hail from? I used to live in East Hanningfield, (Between Chelmsford and Southend) and most of my family lived in Brentwood.

I hail from Southend born in orsett...... now living in coringham wiht a pattern of this:


Orsett ---- Corringham ------ Winslow (bucks) ------- Buckingham (bucks) ------- Towcester (northants) and back to corringham.

I used to not feel nervous but my hands shook a little bit when i performed to someone new.
