Hey all,

I'm wanting to arrive at my 6th form summer ball in style.

A few things Ive had suggested so far are-
Motorbike
London Bus
Limo
Stretch Hummer
& Helicopter

So - does anyone know anyone with a helicopter?
Or does anyone have a helicopter that they want to fly me half a mile do they?

A helicopter would be the nuts! (IB?)

Good luck getting one sorted, you'd be talked about for years and years by your school mates with that one.

I would do, but I'm getting 4 hours of double time at work to dress up as a nun and hand out leaflets.

It's too good an opportunity to pass up.

how about a hearse?

Geta group of mods/rockers to escort you on peds/harleys.

Actually someone suggested a hearse, and I did consider trying to get a police escort.

Get a local biker gang to bring you in on the back of a big old Hog (Harley) after riding around a bit to create a stir.

One guy at mine turned up in a sports car span it into the car park and then stalled, not the impressive entrance he wanted to be remembered for. Then because he'd drove he couldn't have any alcohol on the night, well worth remembering. The entrance doesn't matter too much as people move inside, so you don't get seen by all. It can be a lot of money gone on something that goes unnoticed.The key thing is to have the most spiffing tux.

Unless everyone is going to be outside before the start, you may turn up in a big fancy car, only to find nobody is there to see it.

A unicycle. I used to cycle to work on one just to annoy the boss. It gets noticed. And you can bring it inside, and continue the entrance all night.

This is the only way to turn up to add a little bit of class

I honestly wouldn't bother wasting your money Croz. Far better to be remembered for your sparkling wit and general bonhomie on the night. Due to their common availability, I don't see a limo (or particularly a stretch hummer ) and think "ooh, classy!" or "ooh, an important person!", I think "ooh, someone who thinks we'll be impressed by the fact they blew their money on hiring "Hummerz 4 U" for an evening..."

If you can find a friend of a friend to drop you off on the back of a Harley, that's pretty cool I suppose.

I think people overestimate how good a "grand entrance" will really be... it doesn't mean people will clap you when you get out, or take pictures! Most people get out, trying desperately to look cool and not trip up, and everyone goes "oh, it's Phil."
