Hi! Me and some other magicians are soon going to launch a website that sells original magic effects, and markets them.

We are looking for some people that might help us making some demo videos for some of the effects. By that I don't mean editing them, I mean filming them. If anyone of you can do good quality videos, then please contact me here or email me at the following address: registration@live.se

The video doesn't need to be filmed with spectators, although it would be great if it would be.

Is it me or are there a lot of young magicians who want to create a magic download site where you can buy effects ?
Does everyone want to join in the hype of T11 en E

Looks like they don't realize it takes a lot of hard work and years of experience in magic to create a good and original effect.

I don't understand the mentality of devising effects to sell. Surely if you come up with something new then you should keep it to yourself. I know I would.

but presumably you dont. If you did, you would understand.

I've come up with a few bits and pieces that help me get by, but I suspect they're of limited interest and I'm not the sort of person who will try and re-invent the wheel for the sake of putting out a book or whatever.

To be fair though, even if I came up with the greatest mentalism effect of all time I sure as hell wouldn't be looking to sell it to other mentalists.

I would not think of doinf it just curious as what he would pay as it sounds like they want to line their pockets with videos made by someone else, Maybe they should hit you tube and learn some tricks to sell themselves.....

They way I read the original post is that these guys will be devising and performing the effects, they're just looking for someone who knows how to use a video camera to a high standard.

The question of payments and fees is still relevant; as magicians themselves I expect they've been offered gigs for 'experience' and know how insulting that sort of thing is so will be happy to pay a proper fee for video services.....

I read that as,

We are making a website and would like some of you to send us demo clips on good quality cameras.

I am not calling you wrong mandrake but that is just hwo I read it.

You could be right! Let's see what replies we get.....
