Plus Gellar was best friends with the guy, and did his best man at his wedding...of course the media are going to go and speak to him or vice versa... I would if it was my mate...

True enough, but it's still inevitable that some will just use his death as an excuse to cash in, the books, the interviews, expose of relationships and all the rest. It's distasteful, but the price to pay for being rich and famous.

Besides, I was ony responding to what Tomo said and assumed Geller had said or done something to warrant that comment.

The sad thing is that many celebs seem to use any excuse to fall over each other in order to get on camera or a chat show or give an interview. Something as high profile as this is going to create some very lucrative opportunities. This story is at least as big as when Elvis died and will probably continue running for as long.

Already?! He could have waited at least 24hrs! It doesn't take long for the vultures to begin circling. It's so nice to be anonymous. I wouldn't trade that for any money.

Oh, Uri started before the death was confirmed.

Living within a few short Miles of Sonning, He's often on the local radio.
The thing is, the media contact him, and in a way he has to say something.

this morning he was asked " when did you speak to him last" Uri Answered, " i dont want to comment on that".

and people straight away decided that Uri was covering up the fact that they hadnt spoken in a long time, and that uri was cashing in.

In fact the truth was probably just that Uri didnt want to comment on it.
they were good friends, and friends can go a long time without speeking.

but the press, would turn that into the story " Michael and Uri fall out over...."

The press, are sometimes bastardos .

I will paraphrase Cher : "I feel emotions that I never thought existed in me. "

He was a great man. A legend. I own every single album and DVD released by him and I feel like I have lost family.

May God bless his soul and may he rest in peace.

No matter what peoples personal feelings are towards him or his death, theres one thing that can not be denied, that in his prime he was the best 'entertainer' on the planet!

I just hope they don't hound his family too much, or putting any unneccessary stress on his children!

There was so much back politics to the "comeback" gig...it wasnt just a gig, but a cleverly masterminded way to have a media frenzy, say stick it to those that doubted him, pay off all his debts...and prove he could get away with anything, even faking his death...

When the o2 arena broadcast his comeback interview to the world, fans said it didnt look or sound like Michael, and that it cud have been a lookalikey....so what a brilliant bit of mis-direction...the whole world watches you give speech whilst the real you can breeze through customs and vanish to some abscure corner of the world.....

I gave Michael Jackson a psychic reading when he came to Ireland in 1988. I still have a copy of the tape. I was sad to hear of his passing. He was a gentle soul.

This was the first thing I heard on the radio this morning, which very rudely wakes me up every morning.

It's a great shame that he has gone, I grew up listening to his music and did idolise him in a way. That was years ago now, and all that sort of stops as you get a bit older

I would have loved to see him at the o2. I didn't get any tickets though, which I did regret at the time, but not anymore

It's quite funny how people make a conspiracy over pretty much every major thing the media put out, can nothing be a coincidence anymore? The man was like a time bomb!

That being said, the text jokes where soon zooming around pretty early this morning, I was quite impressed!
