Thanks for mentioning the bright thing (obviously an alien mothership if you ask me) I have just been out to look, you really don't have to look hard it really stands out, very interesting and very bright.
Any more ideas on what it is?

Yeah it really stands out, makes me want to buy a teliscope. But im Not sure. NickJ gave soe good suggestions, maybe he'll now tomoro if he's had a look. Though i now know after doing a search that its only 62.5 miles to the edge of the atmospehere. Not that far really!

I've just had a look and can confirm that it is Venus. Arcturus is also bright, though no where near as bright as venus and is almost directly opposite (follow the curve of Ursa Major's tail) Jupiter is slightly brighter than that and can be found by following the line between the two end stars in the saucepan part of Ursa Major, towards the base of the pan if you follow my meaning. Sirius is low in the south, to the left of Orion and I couldn't see Saturn to check 'cos of clouds.

does anyone else feel that the moon's phases effect there mood and have a knockon effect to there magic / practise or os it just me, i used to be a wearwolf but I'm alright noowww. .

Not sure about mood swings based on the moon's phases but a night where there's a full moon always seems better and more comforting than a night where there's no moon visible. No moon = darker night = more opportunities for crimes to go unseen, I suppose.

I very often used to sit in the mouth of my cave at night, just watching and wondering. (Of course, I had to stop doing it after that nice young lady in the cave over the road called the police.)

AAAAhh! Venus, Fascinates me that its so far away and twinkles so brightly liek that. Couldnt see it last night though, too cloudy.

hey guys i shipped 12 of those decks over for myself a few months ago, and they are really good to use and are extremely durablel!

they definately withstand springing for a lot longer than the blue/red counter parts.

the only downside is that the ink for the hearts/diamonds i.e. red cards is slightly more dull than on normal packs .. this means if u are slipping a green card in to a red deck or vice versa the odd one will stick out.

although this is sometimes a flaw, often it will be un noticed by the lay person and infact provide the magician with a cunning way to locate the card that has a different coloul on the back.

i've been using these decks for a while.. thery are really good to use.

And theyre nice, they smell different to an ordinarry deck, seem a little more springier (i think that s the word) and (the two decks i opened) are black or green on the back.
