To everyone going: I'll see you either tonight or tomorrow. To everyone not going because of a lack of funds, here's what I wrote after the last one:

Tomo wrote:The next Tabula Mentis is on 21st November, and it looks like it's going to be a scream. Go into the kitchen, get a jam jar and wash it out. Now, put some money in it each week. By November you'll be able to afford to travel to London and get a hotel for a couple of nights. If you don't, you're missing out BIG time.

Barry - it will just be good to see you there. I know you thought you couldn't make it at some point.

Thanks, Simon!

It may depend on how much I cough during the night, though...

Well if me and Fairy don't go, that may cause a few problems ;)

I'm here, blagging free WiFI. I checked in with Iain, and Fairie (unless I'm very much mistaken) dropped him off right behind my taxi.

So, that's three of us. :D

Isn't there some kind or rule like "what happens at Tab, stays at Tab?" :D

This was, I think, the best Tabula Mentis yet. Some great lectures, great people and a lot of laughs. It was definitely my most successful event, too. I sold out of everything, and took orders for some more gadgets. I was really pleased at the interest in my radio and magnetic thumpers. The idea of having a room set aside for developers to set up shop is a REALLY good one.

On the downside, I didn't get to talk to most of the people I wanted to. I really wanted to talk to Paul Bell and to buy his stuff, but suddenly he was gone! I also wanted to have a good natter with Dan Baines but didn't get a chance.

There were also lots of strange moments along the way, like Roni (Jewish) offering me a rather delicious ham sandwich  And despite being right at the back, Sarah seemed to get picked as an assistant all the time.

I'm hoping this becomes a two day event at some point, as Tabula Mentis is in danger of becoming too much to fit into a single day. Anyway, onwards and upwards. The next one is on 17th April 2010 in Covent Garden. Can't wait.

Hunger and tiredness drove me from the pub, onto the local Indian, and from there into bed to fall asleep watching BBC New 24. This is why I am known as "Party Dude".

Must say, I had an ace time! Once you get me in front of an audience it is very difficult to shut me up as you no doubt noticed. There were some great lectures and it was great to put faces to names. And having the p*ss taken out of me by Ian Rowland was most surreal I must say. Great times!

fairie just dropped me off a short while ago...

yeah - my brain almost melted over the past couple of days, some performing in pubs by people, beer, late night grub, meeting new and old friends...more beer, good discussions, new ideas and still didnt get enought time to spend with a few people i wanted to...

didnt get much time to spend with 'nanafish or dr. t...

good to finally meet colin, drew and few others...and always lovely to see sarah, paul, tomo and the other usual suspects...

i have to brag that my little hotel room had a wet room too, which was superb...

the grounds were brilliant, the lectures from ian rowland, paul bell, drew mcadam and john archer were all of the highest calibre and i learnt something from each of them...

i also very much enjoyed the odder moments of tabula too...
