I don't *think* you're mistaken - I did the same thing after your post and I also think the cards are in place and are not released onto the pile.

It seems a little point when you discuss it like this but really it's crucial. It's the one moment where things can look like awry (or just plain bent!) to the spectator. Also if it was that easy to pull off he would have done so on the vid. In the explanation, however, where he does the trick as it needs to be done, even his cards are a little bent in comparison.

This is just amazing, i am loving this effect at the moment going straight into my working repertoire :lol:

Its been a while since a saw an effect that hits them so many times. I'm just annoyed i didn't come across it sooner.
