Padlocks - 20 for a £1

Or is there some other reason you have gone in to thread locking frenzy recently Mandrake, or does it just appear to be more than normal because I have been to busy to check the forums the past couple of days?

I don't think the mods lock enough threads, to be honest. But they do a great job bearing in mind it's voluntary. I'm glad more threads are being locked because people can get nasty and rude sometimes and locking those threads gives people a chance to cool down. As for duplicate review threads, they are a dime a dozen and people tend to post them without bothering to check for an existing review. And that's why they get locked.

Good point! I came back off me hols 5th October so the locking activity might be seen to be more than usual but I know that the other Mods did a fair amount of editing, moving, locking as well. There were one or two instances where reminders about the way to conduct discussions had to be posted but what you won't (hopefully!) have noticed is the amount of threads deleted or moved out of sight, mostly because they were simply not on and, as has been mentioned, they were nasty, rude (in all senses) and generally not in accord with the usual TM good standard. It would be great to just log in and read the stuff rather than edit and delete - one fine day it may happen :D !

PS - Padlocks 20 for a quid? Wassat then?

I agree with all of this I just happened to notice an above average number of locks. I fortunately missed the deleted threads and posts.

I must admit that there does seem to be quite a bit more sillyness lately, I think that the mods are doing a stunning job keeping things peaceful.
