Card trick with just one suit.

I'm currently trying to come up with a Valentines/couples/romantic card routine which will end up with an effect done purely in the hands of a couple demonstrating how strong the connection is between them (I know it sounds vomit-inducingly cheesy but please bear with me) but to start it I need a fairly simple trick that could be done with about 13 cards- the idea being that they could be revealed to be all the hearts or something equally soppy and this will help in the set up of the grand finale (a variation on Out of this Universe that the uncommonly attractive Mr Greedoniz kindly showed to me at the last London booze up).

Do any such tricks spring to the massive and well-educated minds of my beautiful and sophisticated TalkMagic companions? I'm happy to pay all worthwhile suggestions with compliments and unashamed sycophancy for at least a week.

Paul Brook has an effect in Alchemical tools where you deal ten numberd buisness cards onto the table and the person decides whether to switch them round or not, you then turn them over one at a time and it's numberd in the correct order. This can work with 13 cards just as well (in fact I did it with thirteen cards just before moving into O.O.T.W how about that.) This can also be done out of the magicans hands (with the right instructions) with one person dealing them onto the table and the other person choosing to switch or not.

Invoke not reason. In the end it is too small a deity.

It is conceivable that you could do anniversary waltz with the cards you have left. Obviously you would have to add certain things to the deck but the reveal of "Out of this Universe" could certain provide enough misdirection.
We could discuss this on Saturday if you are coming

Just a thought, but you could do card warp, using the ace of hearts.

At the end when you tear the card in half, the couple will end up with half a heart each as a souviner, in a " half a sixpence" way.
:)

Thanks for all the great suggestions, you beautiful and delightfully smelling individuals, you've given me plenty to think about.

Greedoniz, I think I'll take up you suggestion of discussing it on Saturday and as an act of thanks I'll even buy you a small, no, a large glass of fizzy cola beverage or whatever drinks you young whippersnappers are into nowadays.
