Marked Deck (Help Buying)

Postby Yano » Dec 9th, '09, 02:42

Hi i've read the reviews for the Boris, Ultimate, and Deception Decks. However am still in need of some advice.

First thing my eye sight is kind of bad, and when i wear color cons it makes it worst. So i need a easy to read deck (apparently Deception Deck is hard? so is Boris deck?).

My Main use for this deck is to do the spec is the magician trick. So i will need to be able to see the marks from atleast hmm 30-50cm away i guess. I guess the whole back of the card would be seeable for this trick :)

My main question is, is the deception deck really that hard to read from distance? I pretty much want to read the card within 2 secs. Is the detail in the marking of the Boris deck hard to read? Like i need to be able to see these from alittle distance.

I know what the Ultimate marked deck looks like but i have not seen the others to know if its the deck for me. Which would u recommend for a bad sighted person and the card would be at some distance

Although the page and the description are in german language:
The "Stein Deck" has a grafical coded marking system which allows you to identify a single card from 3 meters distance - in case you have a free view on the upper half or quarter of the cards backside.

You may love it or not (I personally don't like the design), ...
... but it works really well.

Cheers
Th.

The Fournier marked deck is pretty easy to read. The Boris Wild marked deck is probably one of the best in terms of what it can achieve, but you may have trouble with the markings. Can't comment on the Deception deck because I don't know how it works.

Card Shark's new Phoenix Range (excellent IMO and a serious challenge to bikes) has an excellent Marked Deck which I saw at the International Convention. Well worth checking out.
