he is dutchish. so on the back foot from the beginnin cos he has a stupid accent and lisps and stuff. puts people off. he has a wig and false teeth. this is just creepy. he takes AGES to do any magic just talkin and stuff all the time. i could do 20 tirkcs in the time he takes to do one! he magic uses lots of stupid props like wallet watch and ring and those well naff goblets.

so that is why i dont like him. of course, if you think that to make a point here i have to write like an essay at school, well, you won't like any of my posts lol. we are all allowed an opinion and i think The Tomster is boring.

you are allowed your opinion and me mine. cos i speak like most young people do, doesn't mean my opinion is invalid. don't be so prejudised. we cant all be english teacher's lol!

We all have opinions and, up to a point, the right to express those opinions. However one of the forum rules is to avoid the use of TXT speak and slang. If you have something worthwhile to say then out of respect for all other members - especially those from overseas - please take the trouble to at least use correct English, prefereably via a spellchecker, otherwise what you write is little better than gibberish. More to the point, to refer to someone as 'duchish so on the back foot from the beginnin' is racist and simply won't be tolerated here. You now have a choice - either improve the way you communicate on TM or don't bother visiting.

noob
you might speak and sadly you do use language that so many poorly educated young people do HOWEVER
you can do 20 tricks in the time TW took to do one, well that speaks volumes,
a) all you do is tricks
b) you have no understanding of stagecraft
c) you have little or no respect
d)you dont realise what performing magic is all about.

To elucidate on the latter ,( sorry, to make it clear as like what i means by the last bit) Tommy Wonder was a MAGICIAN ! booked all over the world for severall decades, very highly paid and well respected. You by your comments so far appear to be someone that does some tricks . the difference is vast ( well big like )

And as for saying the Professor was boring, if that is really your opinion , then throw away all your card tricks because its highly likely that he had an influence in them somewhere.

As was previously mentioned though, if you cant be respectful then please stay away, or to put it in another way:-
If you have nothing positive to say then say nothing !

I really enjoyed watching Tommy Wonder. That said I can respect another person's opinion. Magic, like all performance art or art in general is subject to a persons taste. What one may like, another may not.

Tommy Wonder's style was a little on the slow side and the fact of the matter is this new generation is a generation of instant gratification and entitlement, quite unfortunate, but it is what it is.

To noob, In Twenty years look back at your life and see what kind of success you have had in your career, then take a look at the success Tommy Wonder had and the impact he had on an entire industry.

Oh and I too am not a fan of Dai Vernon performances.

nah mate, i understand it, i just think his videos are well borin!

What a well constructed argument, showing your opinions, and why you feel the way you do, with such immaculate spelling and flowing language. I'm surprised you haven't persuaded us all to your see your point of veiw yet!

this ponta smith just doesnt do any boring talkin, does amaazin visual magic that looks, as it says 'sick!'!
I like that sort of fast, good magic.

For a start, you could do 20 "tricks" appallingly badly in the time he does 1 effect, the talking is called patter. Whats wrong with wallets, watches and rings? They are common objects, that most people carry. That is like saying money is a "naff" "prop". I am a young person, but I think about what I write... And I write it well. And I'm not saying your opinion is invalid, I'm just saying it's wrong   .

*sigh*

Do people seriously believe that "noob" is a genuine person rather than a persona?

I know, but I like practicing arguing. Nothing serious, as I refuse to enter into a battle of wits with an unarmed opponent!

Go ahead take the fun out of it. Besides I think I have a clue as to who it is because they have done it before. And it is a little sad that people do such things.

I have his dvd and is good but he doesnt speak english and is very quick with what he does. You have to keep pausing all the time which is a pain in the ass. I wont waste my money if I was you.

As long as you know your coin sleights then its not too bad but if your brand new to coin magic then stay away.
