No! Did you really, Jim?

Or did you just edit that to freak me out! I thought I looked through all of the comments.

Sorry if I did. I will remove it if you'd like.

Wow....

But really?

And thanks for the suggestions! keep 'em coming. :D

Thank you to everyone so far for the tips and the support!! I've got a lot of great ideas now for a decent theatrical routine.
Another couple of aspects:-

1. music? always a hot topic when anyone asks for music but I'm looking for incidental music inspiration
and

2. My closing Illusion.
effect: tramp lays down on park bench and covers himself with a tarp, a police officer comes along to move him on only to discover tramp has vanished! police officer removes his hat and... TADA! its the tramp/magician!
what do you think? I realise that to us magicians it appears predictable but I think it has a strong effect on lay audiences? I'm open to suggestions for an alternative.
Thanks again in advance.

I like it. Although i dont do things like this myself (i only do close-up magic) i love watching them. Sounds like a great ending to your routine :)

Thanks Jim,
It's a long time off which is why I value all the input. when I get it polished I'll attempt at posting a video of the routine.

I suppose though if someone says litter bin magic, those are the first two things that come to mind.
