Don't know if this needs another thread - probably not - what were the highs and lows in terms of effects? Any must-haves, instant classics, eye-poppers etc? Any over-hyped dud-muffins?

Ok, let me put it this way: what were the worst of the over-hyped dud-muffins?!

And surely there must be "something everyone was talking about", or everyone came back with. Last year it was coinvexed. Hopefully this year it'll be something totally different... my money was actually on Dave Bonsall's ring flight revolution. Because that's what I'd buy if I had £90 to spare.

As far as I'm concerned there was nothing particularly over hyped this year. The dealers all seemed to have a selection of different items which was very different to previous years where things like PK rings or Newton's Revenge seemed to be on sale everywhere.

Was talking to Dave. He sold a good few ringflights that weekend.

Most of the releases from the big shops looked pretty rubbish. I didn't buy any of Alakazam or World Magic Shop's much touted releases. In fact I only spent 25 quid on magic and substantially more on alcohol!

Lee Smith's DVDs were creating a bit of a buzz mainly because Lee totally failed to grasp the whole promoting his product thing by showing everyone all the effects on the DVD and then teaching them it!!! Most people I talked to grabbed a copy.

Other than that, feck all.
