Postby jim ferguson » Mar 13th, '10, 04:10

Hi all. I found this on you tube so thought Id post it here for those who may not have seen it. The performance includes classics such as 'Everywhere and Nowhere' and the 'Cups and Balls'. It is in 6 parts, the link is to part 1. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9_TXnBDH ... re=related

Yikes. Ricky won't be happy.

He's a clever guy and a true magician- he could entertain even without any tricks :D

What do you mean ? Should it not be there ? I must admit im rather new to the internet and perhaps a bit nieve. I thought this would be ok as it is a performance and has no revealing. If it is breaching copyright or can otherwise get me into trouble then i'll gladly delete the link :)

It's just an illegal upload of his show. I'm sure he won't care as much compared to his other works being shared online, but it is still a bit naughty!

You know what is funny. It amazes me how many times I've heard magicians, (and yes here on talk magic as well) gripe about how boring, how repetative and how both lay people and magicians hate card tricks. And yet here is Ricky Jay. Take a lesson folks, despite what you may think people love good solid entertainment (that includes card tricks) it wouldn't matter if he was performing coins, mentalism, illusions whatever. It is all about the performance and knowing your craft. Ricky Jay is the perfect example of magic entertainment at its best.
