I do understand why it took him so long to finally come clean with things... at least to this level. Few in the straight world can comprehend how dangerous it was to be a known homosexual during the era in which Randi was growing-up... by the time it was even half-way kosher within society he was a senior citizen and even now, there are parts of the world... even in the U.S. and UK where the GLBT has seen considerable advantage in recent times, where being Gay/Lesbian or Transgendered can get you brutally beaten, cost you jobs, homes, and a myriad of other things.

I can, to a point, empathize with Randi's situation and decision. I'm glad he finally found his balls and stepped up to the plate on this matter though he's a generation late in doing so and considerable damage has been done in and around him, his various ventures, etc.

All going well, maybe he'll start coming clean on some of his other "secrets" before his other foot gets into the grave
