I doubt that the Lib Dems would disarm Britain. I read this as a matter of how much money they need to keep spending, and how many new nukes it needs to buy. I could be wrong about that, but either way, they'd never be allowed to scrap the UK's existing nuclear arsenal.

I think Steve Bell over at the Grauniad always depicts him as wearing a massive head-to-toe condom.

I think what the Lib dems want to do with our Nuclear facilities is to cut out this new upgrade to 'Trident' that the Conservatives and Labour want to do. Apparently it will cost us 100 billion and doesn't actually need to be done.

However, although i am against Nuclear armament, i guess we have to accept that with other countries having more and more access to facilities with which they can build similar weapons, to match ours, we have to make sure we are always one step ahead so that no other country can turn the tide against us.

That said, im still going to vote for Lib Dems because i am quite glad that someone finally wants to give students a chance.

Ah, true. I'm now more intrigued by Murray's personal habits, though!

Apparently he is quite keen on booze and fornication. I'm surprised he's not a member of this forum.

I used to think that Open University summer schools were debauched until I went to Tabula Mentis!

I saw Beardys video from last year. From what I can tell, Tabula Mentis is mainly Iain telling people to fudge off and random shots of Paul Brooks crotch area!

Getting back on to the subject though, I am the only person who's even more interested to see the next debate to see how each condidate has changed their attack style in light of the publics reaction to the last? Are we going to see Gord and Dave ganging up on Nick? Will Cleggy throw it all away by acting smug? Am I going to drink too much again and start swearing at the tv?

Highlight of this debate:

Nick Clegg wrote:And how are you planning on dealing with 900,000 immigrants who are already here?

Gordon Brown wrote:Well, I'd deport them

Nick Clegg wrote:You can't deport them - you don't know where they live!

Surprise surprise... YouGov/The Sun declared cameron as the winner. ITV gave it to Clegg.

I liked Clegg best when he relaxed towards the end and started confronting his opponents directly.

Both he and Cameron had an annoying habit of keeping eye contact with the questioner for half of their answer before shifting their gaze to the camera and smoldering into the lens (and at us, the viewers). Cameron did it unerringly for every answer.Clegg seemed uncomfortable with it, and directed all of his later questions to the audience members. Brown didn't make eye contact with the cameras at all - probably because he's half blind and couldn't see the camera.

Gordon Brown doesn't normally smile. Tonight he smiled sweetly. I didn't believe it. At all.

Yes, I've noticed Brown trying to smile more often. He's obviously been told to do it by his advisers to make him look more human. Unfortunately the grimace that passes for a Gordon Brown smile only serves to make him look less human. "Gee, Gordon, would it kill you to smile once in a while?" Well, actually, by the looks of it, yes it would.
