My recent absence

Postby Mark Waddington » May 13th, '10, 19:53

Hi guys,

Well, I thought I would drop by to explain my absence from the boards recently.

It started a few weeks ago, when I passed out at home. Ive been over-working recently, and to be honest ive taken far too much on. So, I passed out, and next thing I know im in an ambulance being carted off to hospital. Blinding headaches, loss of vision, very high blood pressure etc etc. After several hours and a fair few tests, I was a diagnosis of stress and depression.

As a result, ive tried to break away from as much stuff as I can so I can chill out. Im seeing councellors, and have regular health checks at the moment. I try not to leave the house too much, unless completely necessary. However im constantly feeling run-down, and even the smallest of issues is bringing on panic attacks and anxiety.

Im working my way through everything hopefully, and making good progress, but I just thought i'd let you know whats going on.

If anyone has a spare few minutes and fancies a chat, then get in touch via Facebook, im enjoying having nice informal chats with people, and i'd love to hear from you

Thanks

Mark

Mark - I'm not one for god, though i am dogs...cats are a bit too selfish...anyway...i digress...

i won't say to you "there, there, get well soon...", or anything else, what i'll say to you is this - as a person i met and genuinely thought was a good lad, is this...

everything that happens to us, is an opportunity to learn a little lesson - whether it is about ourselves, or life in general...if someone tries to "save" you - even with the best intentions, they cannot - all they do is delay the inevitable...and that is for you to work out what that lesson is - and embrace the positives that you choose to, from that...

below - are not things for you to take on board, or learn from, just that they merely express something better than i can...besides which, I'm getting over the flu and I'm a bit knackered...

Learning to know and accept myself frees me from the dislike of others.

When defeat comes, accept it as a signal that your plans are not sound, rebuild those plans, and set sail once more toward your coveted goal.

One cool judgment is worth a thousand hasty counsels. The thing to do is to supply light and not heat.

I can't match what Iain said, so I won't even try. All the best, and before you know it you'll come out of it the other side feeling all the better for it!

Sorry to hear your news Mark but at least you're well enough to post and tell us about it which shows you're on the mend. Good vibes and more than a few prayers are heading your way so just settle back, try and enjoy this enforced R&R while it lasts!

Thanks for the kind words guys - Im going to try and get back into the swing of things again I think and try and get back to my normal self.

Ive got a couple of new routines that im putting together into some lecture notes, I'll post a routine or two shortly to thank everyone who has helped me out. All I ask is if you use them, you dont steal them, enter them into competitions and claim them to be your own (oh wait, he doesnt come here any more, does he?)
