Does any one know of a book/DVD like this?

At the moment I have PK on the brain, and would like a DVD or book on PK effects. But, it needs to be relatively easy, and not too many IT effects (I am finding it a bit too impractical for everyday use :( ). Also I want a relatively quick set up... Thinking about it, are there even any effects like this that exist? I've confused myself :? .

Banacheck's PK silverware DVD or PK Subtleties boook is the way to get started.

Have you tried using loops if you're finding IT impractical?

Dave's right, Banachek is the way to go. You can also try Vol 4 in his 'PSI Series' which appropriately enough is called 'Psychokinesis'.

Lebanon Circle's Book of Bizarre Magic includes a chapter of PK effects based on magnets. Mostly simple, and a couple apparently impromptu.

If you have a look here you'll see that the term PK covers a very wide range of phenomena:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psychokine ... rella_term

Almost any magic effect can be reframed as PK.

Otherwise, for a few other ideas, try Karl Fulves's SW Mental, Handkerchief, Table and Rope Magic, Corinda Step 9 and Magic and Showmanship by Henning Nelms.

Oh, sorry, should have been more specific.
psychokinesis could include distorting or moving an object
That bit is what I'm looking for. By the way, it's not just metal bending I am after...

All of my suggestions still apply!

Going back to Banachek - PK Time hasn't been mentioned yet.

I like the look of psi 4. Is it just metal bending? And, for metal bending, is it better than psychokinetic silverware?

Sean Fields' book Explicit Content has some really good examples of "visual mentalism". It's big on bending, but also includes various other visual effects. Worth a look.

Banachek PSI series Vol 4 is mainly metal bending apart from a nice PK Pencil effect and a PK pen efect. The pen effect requires you to buy a gimmick however.

Sorry, about to be incommunicado for a few days. But the book has a complete chapter devoted to PK effects. The last and best one is the teleporting of a banknote into an envelope.

I don't know much in the PK area but i did notice some really contemporary, effective PK tricks on http://www.papercranemagic.com , they are an american company, and although i don't think they do complete DVD's there is some real strong PK magic on there.

Hope it helps.

If memory serves (and I can't check the library just at the moment) Steve Minch had a book called Mind & Matter which was in that general direction, and I believe Chuck Leach has a book called Psychokinesis on PK effects using magnets.
