Two books come to mind where the currency in use won't be an issue. Bobo modern coin magic would teach you sleight of hand and avoid most gimmicks.

Karl Fulves self working coin magic I haven't looked at in a good while, but I seem to remember it has a section on notes.

If you want to learn coin magic, you will have to learn the sleights. That's one of the facts of life.

Asking for coin magic without sleights, is like asking for card magic without cards ...

You have to learn my friend and then practice, practice, practice!
(That's why I don't do any coin magic, he he he)

FWIW, BoBo's Modern Coin Magic has been put out on DVD. You'll more than likely still want a copy of the book as well, though.

You learn the sleights and subtleties, you create you own routines and patter, you practice 'till you can't get it wrong, then you go out, mess up hundreds of times. Finally, something clicks and the effect starts to become you. That's when you start to really amaze an audience.
