But as a treat..... here is his performance, which opens with an Ilusion he did years ago, on the canyon show.. and it's looking better than ever.
As is he.
he has Completely lost that cheesy thing. Clearly he's in a happy place now, and looks relaxed on stage..

Just got round to watching it and I agree with Dale - it's almost like watching a different performer!! Awesome routining as well - OK he's got the budget and the rehearsal time to get it sorted but the timing of the routine was terrific. As Sting once said of his role in 'Quadrophenia' - "On screen long enough to make an impression, but not long enough to make a t*t of myself"!

Who fancies a trip to Vegas to see him, then? :-)

No there isn't, and no they haven't. The only reason that the bullet catch wasn't performed when they visited the UK this summer is because customs wanted proof that they were fake guns. Of course, they aren't

Someone asked Penn about the BC while I was waiting to meet him and that was his answer, that's why I know. He also mentioned which places they're allowed to do it... I can't remember the exact details but there were only a small handful if I recall correctly

I'm not entirely sure you'd want to do bullet catch and saw in BGT. You have to be absolutely 100% completely certain that nothing will go wrong. How can you be so certain when it's not your crew that's setting everything up?

Even if you were 99.9% sure, would you risk it?

Yes I would risk it. I've done things which are far riskier; and the method I've made the method slightly different, so it's a bit safer.

None of this will ever happen in all likelyhood, because the sawing illusion would be incredibly expencive to build. The Bullet Catch I want to do uses BB guns, but the key to making the illusion appear dangerous is to fire a BB into a bit of card. It goes right through and remonstrance just how deadly it can be if that goes in your eye/face.

And you didn't get to the TV stage of BGT so what does that tell you?

I never tried to, and I haven't even built the illusion yet - nor do I have any plans too.
