I like the style the scenery the not straight out of the packet candle but the nice burnt on :d

think the pieces of thread u make are little bit TO long ... the smaller u make them the better (there is a limit) (eugene burger has a lecture if i dont recall about the perfect size for gypsy thread etc)

ehhmm handling wise i liked it except for ure eyes paying to much attention to the hidden part of the trick... try to be as calm as possible the trick doesnt start (the magic comes in when u place the ball of thread pieces on the other thread.. )

Eugene Berger certainly has a great way of doing this effect with a candle but he also has excellent patter to explain why he’s doing the various moves. He also uses Day-Glo yellow thread which makes it easier to see and follow the separating and restoring. To be honest, I could only see the thread in the close up shots so that might be something to look into. The setting was great, not sure about the music as it didn’t seem to flow at the same pace as the routine but the idea is good. All very much nitpicking comments and I’d certainly give the vid 9 out of 10 plus 10 out of 10 to you for having the guts to video and post it for all to see – well done!

The burnt's on candle was very important aspect by the way, made it consciously. So thanks for the notice! Also the whole scenery on my videos are very important and im working on them all the time, this out of box idea of taking the magic and effect's to some new mysterious places that bring the mystery about the trick it self also up. Also better to look into, than filming youself on your undone bed where this old dirty underwear is hanging on the edge of the bed, and doing some card trick. I think it just kills the effect and the whole scenario and presenting is very important. A lot of magician's are saying today that magic is dead. I dont think so, i think it's more alive than it's never have been. Because today if your presenting those primal and pristine aspects right in this techological and fast riding world then the effectivness and mystery is bigger than it could possiby be a long time ago. That's about the scenario, went a little bit offtopic but i hope it doesent mind anybody. =)

Now about the piece's and day-glo thread. I really need to check if i can get it somewhere in Estonia, never heard of it but i will defenitly go and check it out, same for the lecture material.

About the big picture where the thread is impossible to see then yes i agree and can tell that was a very big problem for us also because of lighting. Try to avoid those kind of thing in future. We can only learn from our mistakes. ;)

Music on the contrary i think is perfect. I dont find it going out of the flow, but however holding it together. But as we know it's about taste. There can't be 100% right answer (music) for that, but thanks anyway for bringing it up. Critic and discussion makes life a lot intresting.

Some new videos are in progress now, a lot of ideas and things to do! So i will defenitly let you know when something is ready again!

Thanks again! =)

Day-Glo thread is also difficult to find in the UK. Instead I use ordinary white thread, in the UK it's Chadwick's Darning Thread as advised by Geoffrey Durham in his Gypsy Thread routine, and colour it with a Day-Glo highlighter - very cheap from many stationery shops  ! The darning thread is very strong and difficult to break by hand hence the use of the candle.

This is the blue version of that thread

it's not on a reel but that actually helps - you'll need to buy Geoff's book ( see http://www.talkmagic.co.uk/ftopic23614.php ) to see how and why  !
