I saw this in Edinburgh on the 29th of April. This was the first time I'd seen him live and although I enjoyed the show, I don't think it was quite as powerful as Enigma. Still, I loved the ending and got my Devil's Picturebook signed afterwards, but it was too busy to have any chat with Derren.

I saw the show last night and although I can see why some folks feel it isn't as strong as Enigma, I thoroughly enjoyed it. One or two people said that the first half contained a bit too much explanation and verbal stuff but it was peppered very liberally with humour, jokes and a much warmer feel than previous first halves.

As those who have seen the show will know, we’re all asked not to give anything away or comment too much about what’s in the show but I will say that the activities of the second half were extremely good last night, in the row in front of us one girl was hiding n the floor in fear due to the appearance of what was revealed under the drape on stage and the guy who was selected... well, he was excellent! My son was selected as one of the three volunteers at the end and although he got a glimpse of one part of the method, there was still a lot which baffled everyone. The very end bit... something I’ve never seen Derren do before and it show the heights he’ll go to to entertain!

Hey Guys,

I went to see this last week (wednesday) and was BLOWN AWAY ... couldnt agree more with the post which said "I switched off from magician mode until after the show" !!

I even got the program and the book signed after the show, as well as a pic of me and Derren :D

I would love to PM my breakdown of the show to someone to discuss methods, ideas, thoughts etc of the show?
I dont want to say ANYTHING which would give anything away, but I got an item and it now lives in my "uber cool things" box, like a signed card from Barry and Stuart etc Drop me a message and we can chit chat all day long about the show (Will contain spoilers, so dont drop me a message if you are going to see the show, as my message may contain spoilers spoilers spoilers)

The great thing about DB is that he is so damn entertaining. I reckon I could happily watch him do ambitious card or cups and balls, and he would make it a blast.

The show was probably not as great as Enigma in terms of finale, but I thought the standard mentalism stuff in the first half was better in terms of presentation (but not as good as evening of wonders).

I loved the presentation of the hypnosis section with the automaton. Very original, and back story that was interesting enough to stand alone, regardless of the effects.

My brother and his gf came to see it with me and my wife, they have never really seen any of his stuff before, and they were totally blown away by it. Thought it was entertainment like nothing else they had ever seen.

Was excellent.

My wife and I got chosen for the activity involving a facemask...

Was excellent fun and I got the waiver as a souvenir!

What's even better is that my wife loved it so looks like I get to go to all the future shows and watch his DVD's more frequently!

I just saw it, it was a great show, still in the post-show euphoria at the moment, but also at the stage door I got to say hello, shake Derren's hand and he signed a Bicycle Joker for me!!! Ridiculously happy about that :D

I agree with nearly all the previous comments. Very enjoyable. The best thing is his performance - I just love the way that from the moment he appears on stage he talks utter bull***t and everyone laps it up. Just fantastic.

I found the ending exciting, but I didn't see what was so 'big' about it. It didn't connect into the final trick, and without giving much away, wasn't even really a prediction.

But yes, fantastic show. Definitely want to see it again next year to see whats been changed.

Yeah, but I doubt anyone actually thinks that we are magic ha! People actually think he can implant stuff into peoples heads. I don't think I could count the amount of times I've heard people say, "Oh I know how he did the McFly thing, he says it at the beginning!"

I don't know about the touring theatres but there was also a poster of McFly in the foyer of the Aldelphi Theatre! Gotta get up pretty early to fool me with your subliminals, Mr Brown!!!
