Isn't reverse psychology not a wonderful thing. So isn't not double negation... anyway...

Hello!
I have been registered on here for about 4 years but have made very few (and infrequent) posts! This is probably for the best considering my opening sentence. Unfortunately I think it is time I re-introduced myself.
I am Peter and I have been studying (if you can call it 'study') magic for about 10 years. Was a member of the YMC (Young Magic Circle) in the UK and really wanted to join the Magic Circle but have not got round to auditioning. Yet.
I have done a few performances in the past and even attempted my own stage show which I had mixed feelings about. I have now decided to establish myself as a mainly 'theoretical magician' by creating effects and writing about the subtle crevasses of magic, mentalism and psycology.
I am very keen on mentalism (who isn't these days?!) and am currently (well... for the last 2 years) been writing a book about the analysis and psychology of mentalism. Currently 125,000 words in. Hope to publish this winter. You may see some advertisements on Talk Magic and other sites closer to the time.
Influences: David Berglas, Richard Osterlind, Al Koran, Chan Canasta, Jerome Finely, Derren Brown, Andy Nyman, TA Waters, Bob Cassidy, Lee Earle, Eugene Burger, Burling Hull, Ian Harling, Martin Nyrup, Theodore Annemann, Robert Houdin... I could the works of these people all day.
Excited about: Blending other fields (such as sociology/psychology, physics or mathematics) with Magic and Mentalism effects to create stonger (or more believable methods or 'geists').
Looking forward to meeting everyone. Hope we have lots to talk about!
Warm Regards,
Peter.
