I aim to have one and a half minutes. But you make your first impression in five seconds. I need to overcome that hurdle before I even think about offering this audience a full routine. :)

What's that Calen Morrelli (sp?) thing with the T Shirt? Dress code? That's pretty snappy.

Swami's qiock and snappy, but not very visual. However you use it, it always requires chit-chat with spectators before the ta-dah...

A helpful person PMd me to warn me against the Freedom Pack - unfortunately, the postie delivered it a few moments after I'd read it.

Sadly, I agree with the warning - it's nowhere near as versatile as the video suggests. There's no logic to boxing a deck at the beginning of a routine - it's something that really needs to add an extra kick at the end, as you put your cards away. But the only way to use it after your favourite card effect would be to 'ring in a cooler' as Penn would put it.

Can't understand all the five-star reviews on online stores - or the glowing video reviews. It's okay... but doesn't offer the 'freedom' implied with the hype. :(

I have freedom pack and dont recommend it.It's a good effect but it's definetly not one you will do as a worker.

Why don't you try David Stone's Tool or Warning by Kostya Kimlat??Both are incredibly visual, practical and organic

Hope this helps

To Juxtapose the idea of Freedom Pack, how about "Tribute to Varone" ?

obviously you don't have to do all the dealing. That's just Henry being Henry.

Now that's a lovely routine and a great opener for card work!

Love it! :)

Agreed.

I saw David Stone lecture 101 things to do with Tool. Stone is now one of my favourite lecturers. he's phenomenal.

I would have bought Tool right there and then if I'd had the cash on me. Still might.

Why not use it as some physical comedy at the start of the routine then, when you are trying the get the pack out of the box, and then they are back in again, etc? You've bought it now, may as well get a few laughs with it.

Hi PcWell,

so what did you go for in the end ? This thread has awoken an urge to spend money: my birthday is coming soon, I have to buy myself a present or ten!

I have instant radio 2 up there on the list, along with the quick change t-shirt.

What did you get? :D

I bought the Freedom pack and almost immediately dismissed it, as it's too limiting for my needs.

Extreme Burn 2 is a goody - just ironing out some kinks in my construction and handling of it and I'll be good to go.

The quick change T shirt is calling me and singing the CUPS song, but I haven't taken the plunge yet.

Also must remember to refil my Fire Wallet - got a fire Kaps wallet from David Stone in march...

:)

Oh, and I will be buying Tribute to varone at some point. It's just a bit late for online orders where this gig's concerned. :)
