David Blaine's disappearing deck trick

Postby cc100 » Jul 11th, '11, 09:56

Hello,

I was just wondering where I could learn the effect that David Blaine does where he gets the spectator to pick a card and sign it, then name the three suits other than that of the card they have chosen. Blaine then rubs the cards and the named suits vanish, leaving the remaining suit of the chosen card. This is one of my favourite effects ever; I saw it a while ago on his Street Magic series and it's one of the illusions that sticks in my mind. I presume it requires a gimmicked deck of some sort?

Thanks, cc100

The name of this one is lodged in my memory /somewhere/ . It'll probably pop in when I'm least expecting it, and when it does I'll let you know ( assuming no-one else posts the answer beforehand)
