Whatever I pull out of my box of unopened decks is what I will use that night. I only use one gaffed card and I have it in red and blue.

I'm commercial, so I keep the costs down and use every single pack

Bees are good for some sleights, such as the slip-cut, as they don't see this white bar moving across the top of the deck. But clearly a great many magicians use that cut all the time with a bordered deck, so it can hardly be considered essential. And of course the lack of borders means you can't do certain things like have a card the wrong way up in the deck, or perform a Triumph routine. (Though, some Bees do have the border of course.)
