Struggling with an effect? Any tips (without giving too much away!) you'd like to share?

I was recently watching a re-run of David Copperfield's TV Special where he walks without mincing through the Great Wall Of China. Does anyone know where I can buy one of these please?

What interests me is the nature of the effects people wish to copy. As if mutilating a phone, stuffing it in a bottle which came out of your shoe are the pinnacles of entertainment. Doesn't anyone here want to walk on the Thames?

Or speaking of the Thames, that effect where David Blaine lived in a glass box for 40 days without food. Where do I buy that?

They're probably expensive though, so first I should pick up Derren Brown's lottery prediction method.

With the right tricks I would be unstoppable.

Ever read any of the books by John Douglas, one of the guys who invented criminal profiling? When looking for serial offenders, if the crimes stop, they don't assume it's from choice, they also consider the possibility that they have been detained either in prison or a mental health unit, that they have dies, moved or other such possibilities. So maybe B33RY is taking a rest after his 7 days of activity!!

I agree with everyone, it's awful that a magician is inspiring other people to be interested in magic. Let's all carry on being sarcastic and rude to them and hope they all give up that interest.

On the contrary, the original question was answered very quickly by Lawrence and Dale Shrimpton - as far as it was possible to answer such a query. After that was the usual levity making light of the immense number of posts we had at that time of a similar nature but many were asking outright for the method and there are only so many times we can point such members in the direction of the rules and regs or repeat that we don't give out methods. As you joined just last month you might have missed the influx of posts at the time but you can take it from me that they were considerable. As for sarcasm, I see you've used that technique in your post above which others may find rather inappropriate and unnecessary so we'll just end this thread here and now.
