Are you sure that's Harry Houdini? It looks more like John Humphries.

John Humphries:

Harry Houdini:

Yeah, I'm pretty sure for two reasons: A) I painted it and I use a photo of Houdini. B) it looks nothing like John Humphries

I spent over 30 hours on this painting and would much prefer for it to go for slightly more than £29 :P

my only critisism if you could call it that is that its local pickup which would meen having to factor in petrol and traval into my bid.

No, no. If you read the description the cost of how you will get the painting is sorted after the bidding. Because it varied so much depending where you were. It may be easier for example for me to bring it to the winner, but for someone else it may be easier to deliver.

For example it will certainly be cheaper and easier to send it to Portsmouth than me to bring it down.

The cost of transport is listed as "local pick up only" purely because the cost will be so variable. I will ship to anywhere in the world but the price will have to be discussed with me. If the winner is close enough it may be deemed easier and cheaper for me to bring it to them, which I will happily do

so it does but most people don't look that far before making a decision so perhapse you could change it to "variable postage cost, free local delivery" instead, that would have certainly made me read on. :D
£34 getting there but you still need a big boost. :D

Seems I can't change it now, which is a shame.

Well considering I sell paintings for £35 normally and I haven't spent anywhere near as long doing them, I'm not so sure £34 is good :P Could do with a boost as you say

I absolutely love that.

But sadly I don't have enough money to buy a tin of beans until the auction is over or I would definitely be buying.

I hope theres a next time!

Well there won't be another one of these... However this is based on a print design I have ready to do at a later date. But that's not all definite :)

Hey Fella

It's great that you're doing something like this for such a worthwhile cause.

I've upped the bidding for you just now, not that I don't think it's a great piece of work (as I do) I just have no where to put it in my teeny tiny flat so won't be keeping it if I do win! However I thought the price was way too low.

If I am successful I will find it a great home for you and post a picture of it in it's final place.

Thanks for that, I was getting slightly concerned that the price was so low. I am not so sure you will be out bid, I've tried to get the word out but magicians seem to have been considerably stingy.

If you do win though I am planning to go to Manchester soon (always love a trip to Affleck's), so it will be pretty easy to bring to you.
