First Audition, Very nervous and possibly not going to do it

Struggling with an effect? Any tips (without giving too much away!) you'd like to share?

A simple TT vanish will entertain them far more. That's what the audition board will be looking for. Keep it light, lots of simple gags.

Listen to this advice! He knows. Remember the people you are auditioning for are not the people you are going to be entertaining. They may be impressed with your card tricks but they are going to think to themselves, "nope, cards are not for kids, nor for the situation you will be in"

Basic think brass roots self working basic.

A few vanishes using TT
colour changing hank, or colour changing rope
Perhaps the magic colouring book, that way if there is a long line you can entertain large sections at a time.

But whatever you do, you must audition. The absolute worst that can happen is that they won't hire you. Which they are not going to do if you don't audition. If you do audition it will be behind you and you will see after the fact, win or lose it wasn't that bad. You will be up against a lot worse in your future.

Good luck!
I find it amusing that the thought of doing magic makes yo nervous but yo have no qualms regarding dressing up as an elf!

Was meant to book it, but rang them up just before and they said auditions were full up and sorry for the inconvience. I do know of another similar job, which I will take into consideration all the ideas given for the festive season. A lot of helpful advice.

Cheers guys. Really appreciate it.
