Osterlind Mind Mysteries Imp Pad

Postby nickmadsen » Aug 26th, '11, 13:31

Hi everyone.

I've been looking though several bookstores/office suppliers, to find something I can use to make the Imp Pad, taught on disc 4 og the mind mysteries, but so far without luck.

Does anyone here have a good source for buying some pads which are suitable for those kind of mentalism tricks? I need the ones which you open up from the bottom and up, but also book like pads. Keep in mind they should be looking quite the same on both sides, so the spectator can't tell if it isn't the same side which is being opened.

Keep in mind I'm from denmark, but something from amazon.co.uk will be fine, I've looked there as well, but not quite sure what they're called. I've searched for paper pad, notepad etc.

Thanks in advance

If you can find 2 pads that are spiral bound at the top, could you not remove the cover of one and replace the back of the second pad, making them the same back and front?

Is that possible without ruining the spirals? I've actually nver thought of that, but I'll definitely try it out.

Thank you.

yes, you unscrew it from the pad, rather than pulling it away.

It's certainly possible, and not that fiddly to do if you're careful. Make sure the spiral is a metal wire and not a plastic coil, since the plastic can break under the strain.

Not long ago I bought a spiral-bound book that had the last quarter of the pages bound in upside-down! (Possibly why it was in the remainder shop.) Fixed it in exactly this way.
